Meddling With NatureApril 30, 2015

Last Saturday I attended a workshop at the Art Institute called Meddling With Nature. It was a fantastic DIY workshop all about preserving bugs, cleaning skeletons, and taxidermy. The workshop went from 9:00 – 1:00 and was very interesting.  You can see more about the worksop at this site: http://meddlingwithnature.com

Most of the participants seemed to be medical illustrators. There were taxidermy animals placed around the work area. I took photos of a goat seated amongst us and a raccoon curled up the corner. We all were given our own beetles to mount. The last two photos are of the beetles that I mounted.
